Sophie Aprotosoaie-Kardos
Co-President
Hi everyone! I’m Sophie Aprotosoaie-Kardos, a second-year Master of Architecture student. I earned my BSD in Architecture, BA in French, and a Minor in Sustainability here at ASU. I joined AIAS at the end of my freshman year during The pandemic and have helped rebuild our community ever since, this is now my third year as President, and I’m so proud of how far we’ve come! Outside of studio, I love traveling because it always re-inspires me. One of my favorite places I visited this summer was Seville, where we took an incredible rooftop tour of the Cathedral, walking beside the stained glass and looking out over the city was absolutely unforgettable.
Ivanna Sepulveda Suarez

Hola! I’m Ivanna Suarez the Co-President for AIAS after being Treasurer for 2 years. Currently 4th year architecture major with certificates in Biomimicry and Environmental Education. I am an international student from Mexico, raised in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. Outside of architecture, I currently work as a fellow for HIDA, do collegiate sailing for the ASU team and work with menstrual equity advocacy at The Pad Project. This past summer I studied abroad in Costa Rica for environmentalism and Milan for Ai!
Samantha Andres

Hi, I’m Sam and I’m your Internal Vice President! I’m a 4th-year architecture student with a minor in Construction Management. I’ve lived in Arizona my whole life, but I’ve had the opportunity to travel to other places both in and outside of the country. Last summer I studied abroad in Prague!
Nicholas David
External Vice President
My name is Nicholas David, and I am currently a 5th-year student in the M.Arch Program. One fun fact about me is that I love to travel and have visited over 20 countries and 130 cities, where I have learned so much about different cultures and their architecture; my ambitious goal is to visit every country in the world.
Fionn Hyland
Co-Treasurer
Hi everyone, I’m Fionn, one of the Treasurers this year. I’m a senior in the Architectural Studies program with a minor in Business. So far, I’ve gained experience working on both the design and construction sides of architecture. I was born and raised in Germany, and I’m passionate about the intersection of design, construction, and leadership. I’m excited to help strengthen AIAS this year, not just financially, but as a community for every architecture student.
Alyssa Zazueta

Hello everyone! I'm Alyssa Zazueta, a first-year architecture student. I hail from Nogales, a small border town. Although I was born in Arizona, I spent most of my life in Mexico. I am bilingual and currently working on my third language. I am incredibly excited about this opportunity and grateful to meet all of these wonderful people.
Meghan Parker

Hi everyone! I’m Meghan Parker, and I am in my second and final year of my Master's of Architecture. I am also a 2024 graduate from Barrett, the Honors College at ASU, with my BSD in Architectural Studies and a minor in Sustainability. I also currently work as an Architectural Designer with JLL Design. I am excited to continue in my second year as one of the Co-Events Directors and cannot wait to plan entertaining and inspiring events!

Hey! I’m Daniel Taquillo, and I am a third-year architecture student pursuing a minor in construction management. Born and raised in Arizona, I take every opportunity to escape the heat. As one of the Co-Events Directors, I’m excited to keep doing my part for AIAS.

I’m Paola Villarruel, a 4th-year architecture student. One fun fact about me is that I love to draw and paint, and I have an entire portfolio of sketches and paintings focused on different phobias. I also love to travel!

Hi everyone, my name is Abraham (call me Abe if you’d like). I am a first-year architecture student getting my Bachelor's. I currently don’t have any minors, but I plan to get one, probably next year. Something about me is that I was born here but raised near Seattle, Washington—two completely different environments. I'm not a professional artist, but when I do draw, I like to draw characters.

Hi! I’m Sue Moncada, a 2nd-year architecture student with a minor in construction management. I’m originally from Peru, and I love to travel. I will be traveling to a competition in Chicago soon! I’m excited to be part of the AIAS board as Secretary this year and can’t wait to connect with more of you!

Hello! I'm Leilani, AIAS Web design director. I'm currently in my 6th year of ASU's M.Arch program. I was born in California, but moved down to Arizona when I was 9 years old. I love hanging out with family and friends the most and meeting new people! This is my third and final year as part of AIAS, and I'm so excited to see where it takes us. :)

This is my second year with AIAS, and my first year serving on the board as Web Design Aide (one of the people who helped bring this website to life!)! I’m so excited to meet you all and can’t wait to see everyone at the amazing events we have planned this year.

Hi! I’m Saria, and I’m currently a 3rd year architecture student with minors in sustainability and urban planning. I was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, but moved to the US when I was five years old and have lived in the valley ever since. I am excited to be part of the AIAS board and to gain new experiences!

Hi all! I'm Gabe, the director of marketing for AIAS. I'm a 4th-year architectural studies student with a minor in urban planning. I've lived in Arizona for most of my life, but I had the honor of living in both the Dakotas when I was young. I joined the AIAS executive board as a marketing assistant last year. I fell in love with this club's ability to help students succeed in both academia and their careers. I hope to continue helping create those opportunities for all design students at ASU.

I have only traveled to Mexico because my family is from there, so I would do anything to travel outside the country to new places. I am excited to be a part of the AIAS Marketing team!

Hey, it’s Adrianne, your 5th-year marketing board member! I’m from Mesa and was raised in a Mexican/Dominican household. One fact about me is that I love painting and replicating Van Gogh paintings! I can’t wait to connect with everyone this year.
